Information Collection and Use

For a better experience, while using our Service, I may require you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information, including but not limited to:

• Email address
• Phone number
• Profile photo
• Resume / CV (PDF or document file you choose to upload)

The information that I request will be retained on your device and on the servers of third-party services used by this app as described in this policy.

The app also records the following usage data to deliver core functionality:

• Job listings you view (job click history)
• Weekly application streak data

How We Use Your Information

• Create and manage your account – your name, email, and password are used to authenticate you via Supabase.
• Auto-fill job application forms – your email address is injected into job application web pages to help you apply faster.
• AI-assisted form filling – when you upload a resume, an AI service may process your CV data to suggest field values for job application forms.
• Provide subscription features – your usage data (job clicks) is used to enforce and display subscription plan limits.
• Track weekly streaks – the number of jobs you engage with each week is recorded to show your activity streak in the Profile section.
• Manage your resume – your uploaded resume file is stored securely so you can access it across sessions.

Log Data

I want to inform you that whenever you use my Service, in the case of an error in the app, I collect data and information (through third-party products) on your phone called Log Data. This Log Data may include information such as your device Internet Protocol ("IP") address, device name, operating system version, the configuration of the app when utilizing my Service, the time and date of your use of the Service, and other statistics.

Cookies

Cookies are files with a small amount of data that are commonly used as anonymous unique identifiers. These are sent to your browser from the websites you visit and are stored on your device's internal memory.

This Service does not use cookies directly. However, the app contains an embedded web browser (WKWebView) that loads third-party job board websites. Those websites may use cookies and similar tracking technologies, which are governed by their respective privacy policies.

I may employ third-party companies and individuals due to the following reasons:

• To facilitate our Service
• To provide the Service on our behalf
• To perform Service-related services, or
• To assist us in analyzing how our Service is used

In-App Purchases

JoBrowser offers optional subscription plans (Gold and Platinum) processed through Apple's In-App Purchase system. Payment information is handled entirely by Apple and is not collected or stored by JoBrowser. Please refer to Apple's Privacy Policy for details on how payment data is handled.

Security

I value your trust in providing us your Personal Information, thus we are striving to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it. All data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored in Supabase with Row-Level Security (RLS) policies that restrict access so each user can only read and modify their own data. Resume files are stored in a private storage bucket accessible only to the authenticated owner.

But remember that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable, and I cannot guarantee its absolute security.

This Service contains an embedded web browser that may load third-party job board websites and employer pages. These sites are not operated by me. Therefore, I strongly advise you to review the Privacy Policy of these websites. I have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services.

Children's Privacy

These Services do not address anyone under the age of 13. I do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13 years of age. In the case I discover that a child under 13 has provided me with personal information, I immediately delete this from our servers. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact me so that I will be able to do the necessary actions.

Data Retention

Your personal data (name, email, phone number, profile photo, resume, and usage history) is retained for as long as your account is active. You may delete your account and associated data at any time by contacting us. Upon deletion, your data will be removed from our servers within a reasonable period.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access – Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correction – Update or correct inaccurate personal information via the Profile screen in the app.
• Deletion – Request deletion of your account and personal data by contacting us.
• Portability – Request a copy of your data in a portable format.

I may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Thus, you are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. I will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
